Years ago I wrote a poem entitled Somebody’s Angel. I’d had the title for many years without knowing what it was to be. But finally the ideas started to flow, and I then knew what it was to be–that poem.
The gist of the poem is that we never know when we might be Somebody’s Angel just from doing the small, helpful things we do for others from day to day. That sentiment is well expressed in the Zig Ziglar quote shown below. Zig is no longer with us, but he’s left a wonderful legacy for those of us who still remain.
So remember to be helpful to people whenever you can. You never know when some small comment, gesture, or aid you give might really make someone else’s day.
