“I am determined to be happy and cheerful in whatever situation I may find myself, for I have learned that the greater part of our misery or unhappiness is determined not by our circumstances but by our disposition.”
— Martha Washington
In my sojourn through this life I have learned that Nothing is more important to my happiness than my decision to be happy!
I can’t control how others act or don’t act, how situations work out or don’t work out, or how circumstances may develop. But I CAN choose to be happy, regardless of what does or doesn’t happen in my life, and I CAN DETERMINE how I respond to whatever happens, whether I like it or not. Handling a “bad” situation with a good attitude will always make the situation work out better for me and those around me than handling it with a bad attitude.
Make life easier for yourself. Choose to be happy, simply because being happy is a lot better than being unhappy. Happiness is a choice we make, not something that happens or doesn’t happen to us.
