Adam Savage answers a question about RFID Censorship after his talk on his Fascination with the Dodo Bird at the Last H.O.P.E. Hacker Conference (www.HOPE.net) which took place on July, 18-20 2008 at the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City. --- Mythbusters Host Retracts RFID Censorship - Mythbusters host Adam Savage is retracting comments he made at a hackers conference where he said an episode exposing security flaws in credit card RFID technology was squelched by credit card company lawyers. In a new statement Adam says, " If I went into the detail of exactly why this story didn't get filmed, it's so bizarre and convoluted that no one would believe me, but suffice to say...the decision not to continue on with the RFID story was made by our production company, Beyond Productions, and had nothing to do with Discovery, or their ad sales department."---Steven Levy gave the keynote address. Kevin Mitnick, Steve Rambam, Jello Biafra, and Adam Savage of MythBusters were also featured speakers at The Last H.O.P.E. Hackers Conference. The name referred to the expectation that this would have been the final H.O.P.E. conference due to the scheduled demolition of its venue, the Hotel Pennsylvania. www.TheNextHOPE.org is scheduled for Summer 2010.---Includes the 'infamous' new-yourk point-of-view on 'unglazed' ceramic tiles for ovens to make 'better pizza', OMG!!!

Yeah, I thought so too. I loved Adam's answer to the question about other shows, though. Then she ruined it by going on about pizza and crust lol

when i said safe i meant safe from fraud. of hacking. they are very hackable. they care about RFID because they have investments in it. if everyone knows how hackable they are the RFID technology becomes worthless and they lose their investment

1. Why would those companies even care about RFID?2. There has been legislation passed for implementation of RFID into passports and the Read ID Act. However, these companies don't want anyone to know that the technology isn't safe?? Doesn't make much sense to me.

what he was saying was they didnt want the mythbusters show proving that the technology isnt safe. that it is hackable and unreliable. thats why, no nwo conspiracy or anything like that. just corporate legal crap

American Express, VISA and Discover...Why would they even care about RFID? Can someone please give me an answer to this and not something along the lines of international bankers owning corporations in hopes for a New World Order and microchipped population? Thanks. :)
