In all fairness to compare the two would be like comparing Aretha Franklin to Celine Dion, their styles are different but in Fantasia's favor she has more strength of vocal range because she's able to change notes (high to low) w/out hesitation of breathe. Leona can hits higher notes but shes has to stay generally in the same tone. She reminds me of Mariah Carey.

I agree. I think both ladies were great. Fantasia was better as far as emotion goes and she put her own spin on the song, but I think Leona totally knocked it out the park at the end. The last note Leona hit in her performance was amazing. Both ladies did an incredible job.
