Greatest band in the history of music. I was fortunate enough to see them 12 times through the years, and each gig was just mind blowing. As others have said here, the fairwell tour of Dec '04 was exceptional, i cried as they left the stage for the final time, and i'm not shy about admitting that.The Beta Band, so many classic memories. Thankyou!! I should say i love the members current projects also, they do no wrong as far as i'm concerned. Sheer class.

The beta band are one of the most underated and unrecognised bands britain has ever produced. I so hope one day they get the recognition they deserve. Proud to be scottish and knowing that the beta band are one of the best bands britain has ever produced. real music for real people.

I played fooyball with john for about a year without even realising what greatness i was in the presence of. the beta band(in my huble opinion) are the greatest band our small country has ever produced. Their greatness will be recognised in a future era. shame. i want to relate now.

saw the Beta Band on their farewell tour in Manchester. One of the best gigs I've ever been too.

John Maclean, the man who directs The Beta Band and The Aliens video (as well as being a member of both bands), told us in a lecture that this was The Beta Band's most expensive clip. Also, the helicopter isn't really there, it's added in digitally but it makes the video look so expensive because of its huge size!Such a cool video. Really different from his, as he calls it, usual 'lo-fi' style. :]LTZ xxx
