This song is dedicated to the 44 ordinary people from 17 countries, and the countless people who supported them, who sailed on August 23 from Cyprus to Gaza on two, small, wooden boats, breaking the Siege of Gaza through non-violent direct action. Since then, the group has sailed on two more siege-busting voyages. See all the info at www.freegaza.orgIn this song, Jewish-Israeli and Palestinian singers and musicians joined together to perform the Hebrew-Arabic song "Hevenu Shalom Aleinu" (We Brought Peace Upon Us) - "Ma Ana Ajmal Min Salam" (There is Nothing More Beautiful Than Peace).Sung in both Hebrew and Arabic, this Middle-Eastern-Jewish-style inspiring, jazzy song challenges us to overcome decades of hatred and violence, and replace them with human rights, and appreciation of the common humanity of both people. To paraphrase JFK, ask not what they can do to end violence and occupation, but what you can do for Israeli-Palestinian peace. Here are some suggestions: 1) Simply send this link to your mailing lists to inspire people to act as peacemakers; 2) donate whatever you can to humanitarian initiatives, such as Break the Gaza Siege (www.freegaza.org) which is in urgent need of donations; and 3) plan a trip to Israel and the Palestinian territories to see for yourself. There are several organizations which can help you with such a trip. In any event, don't remain silent. Silence is complicity. The song, which later became the anthem of Peace Child Israel, was performed by the following singers (in order of appearance): Jewish-Israeli - Leah ShabatShlomo GronichZehavah BenEli LuzonPalestinian - Sahmir Shukri Nivine JaabriElias JulianosLubna SalameTo download this video: http://www.metacafe.com/watch/... beneynu hiburimshe'horeynu lo halmuyesh beneynu diburimshe'ad koh lo nishme'u.anahnu kan bishvil koolamanahnu gesher ve'soolambishvil mi she'holembishvil mi she'halam.ve'od be'hayeynuve'od be'yameynunashir be'koleynu: HEVENU SHALOM ALEINU...(Arabic)idak lou yib'a idiimanak wil'ahlamminamar dinya jdididanya mahbi wa'salamwilama 'niya titsafakool inas biyib'ku nasminsir eylet hub eyli tishrab min kas. min kas i'salammin kas i'salamkas i'salam: MA ANA AJMAL MIN SALAM...(Hebrew) ken, horeynu kvar akhluboser ad etmol shilshomakh shineynu titpal'ulo tikhena od hayom.(Arabic)sawiyeh minwahed al'kaloobsawiyeh minawer al'koolma awlad i'salamma awlad al-ahlam(Arabic and Hebrew)min kas i'salam ve'od be'hayeynumin kas i'salam ve'od be'yameynukas i'salam nashir be'koleynuHevenu Shalom Aleinu...Ma Ana Ajmal Min Salam...

German is an nationality, jewish is areligion, it's diffrent... In Europe, and in all the World (exept in Israel) you can have the nationality regardless you religion. In Germany, you can't get facilities if you are christian..What do you think, if tommorow, Europeans said, if you want get french, german, spanish nationality, you must be christian ??? You will be shocked of course. but for Isarel, No problem, all it's ok ...

i guess in arabic and in european languages the word zionist means different things. in european languages and hebrew zionist simply means smn who thinks jews should live in israel - correct me if i'm wrong - what does it mean in arabic?

nonsense, even in Germany if you're of German descent (like Russian Germans) you can get a German pass straight away, same goes for many other contries, that's no racism, although I guess it would have been better if everyone could choose a place to live freely

Thank you for your reply as I really would like to understand. So the 'Palestinian people' are not Jewish they are Arab? Is it people (blood/nationality) that divides or religious beliefs of the same blood/nationality? The people that were driven away lived there all the time before in history? So before 1900s everything was in peace? Again, thank you for help to understand. See, I read there was always division in the Middle East even since Isaac and Ishmael so this is not true?

the question is not where the first jewish/arab came from, its where the palastinians went to?they were driven out of thier lands and homes in the early 1900 till now and still no one care, just anti arab and islam all around the western world.

Where did the first Jewish person come from? Where did the first Arab person come from? Was it not very close near each other? From another part of the world looking over at maps reading history it seems Jewish and Arab are from the same area.Same area but different blood lines? original different tribes? different customs? What is so different they both harbor so much resentment and hate?Is it the different religion that causes the division?I am confused.

I just do not understand. People who share so much of history-come from the same part of the world yet hate and kill each other-Why? Why hate people because they are Jewish? Worse than USA with black history because they learned to live in the same neighborhoods-they dont blow each other upI think both Arab & Jewish people are so lovely, interesting & unique with beautiful rich history of the world! Why can't they live together on this planet? We must, we can not all return to Adam & Eve.

That's not peace, that's genocide.
