no hes not saying that, hes just saying under the stress of combat it could get pretty confusing and it would be harder to train soldiers to get use to that many buttons.you stupidly stretched his words too much

Actually, the 6.8 has a lower velocity than the 5.56x45mmNATO. Yes it does have 60% more kinetic energy, but it just can't knock down targets at ranges in witch the M16 can.

Mostly because of weight savings. Soldiers already carry 75+ extra pounds and more weight for them to carry is not wanted.

Great rifle. Too bad that this project was put to death in 2005 and the XM8 won't ever be mass produced. Only prototypes of the weapon exist.
