I think Einstein was right when he said god doesn't play dice. A particles exact position and velocity may elude us but when god wants to know such information I highly doubt he consults his quantum theory text book:-)

ahh an appeal to add ignoratiam... if one cannot prove they are right, they must be wrong. One of my personally favorite fallacies, it shows the stupidity of some people. the exact principle you just implied could be reversed on yourself. Just because one isn't able to comprehend the vast complexities of the expansive outreaches of the universe does not mean that they don't exist. (I know that last statement makes little sense. but it sounded cool xD)

Thats a much more interesting question, and based on this video it would seem so. However, without additional sources it would be impossible to answer with any certainty. I am not a scientist yet, but I do intend to get a book about quantum physics, and find out. It would be quite awesome to eventually become a theoretical physicist, or perhaps a not-so-theoretical physicist. After all, Teleportation, Invisibility, Time Travel, science fiction is only a type 2 impossibility.

If quantum mechanics is an accurate theory(and experimentation suggests it is), then truly all events, *even* the light from the sun, are caused by quantum mechanics. One event isn't caused by quantum mechanics and another by something else. We can't have two different universes, one for fusion and the other for light and heat reactions.

I mean that we know that the sub s energy thus heat and light is produced by nuclear fusion. Here it s shown as if quantum mechanics like the phenomenon of tuneling is the actual catalyst of the sun s nuclear fusion. Is that really, mathematically proven? Not just a theory? Cause this is really wow...

quantum mechanics apply to everything equally. The light production of the sun is not caused by quantum mechanics, it is a byproduct of an event which Is caused by quantum mechanics. As far as whether its proven or not that quantum mechanics apply to the sun and its properties, why would such theories exist if they were not to be used? |
