Todays "country Musicians" like Taylor Swift should not even be mentioned in the same breath as Loretta Lynn. Hank III summed it up in his song Dick In Dixie "if you know what I'm thinkin you know that pop country really sucks" that shit nashville is putting out right now isn't even country its pop music with a an occasional steel guitar or fiddle thrown in. Pop county musicians have no soul or style its all flashy commercialized BS.

Hum...guess this post would also say that Bethoven and Bach are outdated and can't compare to modern composers.Society's requirements change over the years, but by no way should the pioneers who paved the way for changes to be disrespected and consider less talented or contributing to current artists. One day these artists will beconsider less talented.We all have a right to our thoughs, albeit not well thought out.

Loretta Lynn has earned everything. nothing was handed to her like the "new country singers". Even today she can sing her heart out. most new singers will be out of the business at 50. Loretta puts every ounce of her body into singin, and still remains number #1.

this is why God invented so many different musical styles. i like old country, but i also like big bands, marching bands, sweet love songs, disco. Their is not a perfect kind of music. If there were, we would be in a robot world, hope you all don't want to live there. thanks. B
