Rough Draft...[There is another camera to edit in, audio to clear up, and transitions to insert.] Creating PeaceWithout and WithinYou are invited the video of a public talk Friday, April 28, 3-5:00 PM, at the Court Room, Tate Hall, Room 22.At a time when conflict, aggression, and unrest dominate established performance patterns within ourselves, within our relationships and on the global scene, join Khentrul Lodro Thaye Rinpoche from Tibet, to discover the simple, yet profound tools for creating peace and transforming these patterns into mindful wisdom and compassion.About Khentrul RinpocheKhentrul Lodrö Thayé Rinpoche, acknowledged as a scholar of the highest level, has twice received the title of Khenpo (equivalent to a PHD of Philosophy). He taught for many years at monasteries in Tibet and India and is the abbot of Katog Mardo Tashi Choling in Eastern Tibet where he established a retreat center, library, shedra and is currently building a school for the children. He directs the education and spiritual practice for over three hundred monks of whom there are seventy advanced-degree candidates, a hundred children, and twenty full time retreatants. He was invited to the USA in 2003 to start a program for studying Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and meditation in the traditional way (shedra). In addition, he continuously and tirelessly teaches throughout the country. Rinpoche's style for presenting these profound and sacred teachings to western minds is phenomenal.TESTIMONIALS: "[Rinpoche] is one of the most esteemed teachers we've had come to campus. He was extremely warm and a lot of fun to spend time with. We were very lucky to host him." Wesleyan StudentsHis teachings are always extremely clear and understandable in a way that is easily applied to our experience. It is extremely rare to have a teacher of his caliber and of traditional training from Tibet here in the west, and we feel extremely fortunate to host him.SPONSORS: MU Peace Studies Program; Students for a Free Tibet; Mindfulness Practice Center; Global Action To Prevent War; Peace Haven International. http://www.spiritualsurvivalso...

Before Buddhism, the culture of Tibet was Bon culture. It can be said that Lamarist Buddhism committed "cultural genocide" on the Tibetan Bon culture.

Why are you guys talking politics in the comments section of a video with a Dharma talk?Shame on all of you doing such a thing.Tibetan Buddhism is closely tied with Tibetan culture, but they are not the same thing. You would not say a braid of hair is made from but one strand of hair...I kindly ask all of you to stop talking politics here.Best Wishes
