The company that made this game (Rare) happens to be British, so the word "hell" is not as profane there as it is here in the U.S.

BackwardzButtercup, my guess is since Rare (company that developed the game) are based in the UK, and I believe it is used more socially there and isn't as rude or offensive as in the US, so they probably didn't think much of using it.I could be wrong though as I am basing this on what us Australians are like and assuming the UK is similiar.
