well yeah maybe the 'beginning' of the music videos, but it indeed killed the radio. but youtube kills it all.. and that's how it is one day someone was on the top and the next the day the new one is on there. and that's how it is, there's always a new idea just waiting to surface..and when you start complaining about it, that is usually a sign of aging and wisdom, i think.yeah, sorry if i dont make any sense///

and then hip hop killed MTV... I didn't have cable access when this came out, but later on I loved MTV. then MTV discovered a new demographic.
