I saw them in Philly at the Tower Theatre in the mid 80's. Dave Mason opened for them. 95% or more of people have never heard of Renaissance.

Haslam has one of the most beautiful female voices, but I could easily name dozens of better looking female singers. Lets get real alantew.

Ah yes - great news about the DVD - but there are technical issues with the first release - Don't buy it - yet!!!! to explain - the sound is duff - Annie appears to be singing two octaves down from normal - not good - the DVD distributor knows about the problem and has promised to replace all defective DVDs

Urm , what do you mean "She wasn't drop dead gorgeous" - Annie Haslam was (and still is)one of the most beautifull lady singers of all time - shame on you zep444

Stiegy is definitely right their music wasn't commercial enough for widespread popularity. If Haslam was in a more pop oriented group like Abba she would have recieved more acclaim. Also, she wasn't drop dead gorgeous and unfortunately that plays a part in popularity as well when it comes to female singers.

yes, you're right. i just think she deserves the recognition. there really isn't many other singers out there that you can honestly say have a better voice than her.

Thankfully, we have YouTube and those that upload to it, to preserve this music. |
