extremely true, but you can also get the power Commander re-mapped also witch can gain most bikes anywhere from 7-10hp. Now you have to have it dynoed by someone who knows what there doing but You can also have the rev limiter on the bike changed through the Power Commander. I work on a race team that deals with 600's all the time and you can gain up to 2000 rpms with certain engine's. But you can gain 1000rpm safely any more then that your risking your connecting rods and your engine casing =/

Thank you for explaining it all. The only reason I was wondering was I am planning to get a Cbr 600 rr w/ ABS near the end of my senior year of Higgh school (around next May-ish). So, thanks once again bro, :)

power commander is a piggyback ecu attachable computer for fuel/air tuning. Basically, people tend to buy power commander when they drastically change the air flow they're bike has, like putting a new exhaust. They do it because it allows the computer to tune the air/fuel mixture back to an even level after the exhaust/other modification has changed it. You can go without it if you mod, but sometimes you can feel a difference in the power you have. if your stock, you don;t need one.
