Dear Andalona, The laugh may be on you. The US Constitution prohibits any law which is ex post facto (after the fact). The Prop 8 vote may not undo marriages already done under a law which allowed them, but may prohibit marriages from occurring after the law was passed.

Too bad Ellen, your "Marriage" is now illegal. The people of California have spoken....twice now. She should listen to Elton John. Marriage is for Heterosexuals, and Civil Unions are for Gays and Lesbians. Next time you try to make a fool of great people like John McCain, lighting will strike, just like it did in November.

"It's great how religion works in such mysterious ways""A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow." - Agent K (Men in Black)

In religion anyone can come up with some kind of theory, even if it is found at the bottom of a tea cup. If it then gathers a big enough following, it suddenly becomes fact. It's great how religion works in such mysterious ways. There is no proof needed in the shape of quantifiable evidence, no discipline, no skill, just an overactive imagination is enough to turn fiction into fact.

'Let me point to the physics and engineering folks who were bullied into labelling Gravity a fact and not just a theory.' It is actually still called the 'theory of gravity' - even though we pretty much do know that it is fact. Of course you know as well as any other educated person that the word 'theory' in science has a very different meaning to 'theory' applied in religion. Everyting in science is a theory, even if 99.99% of evidence makes something pretty much a fact. But that's science.
