No, he was Austrian, I think this film was made for an English speaking audience who are so lazy they can't be bothered to learn lots of languages in order to watch a movie. They should learn French in order to watch anything by Victor Hugo for example.

hitler based his image on chaplin, chaplin then did a parody of hitler in "the great dictator" and hitler watched the film twice.

I read plenty. I read enough to know the way Hitler is portrayed in movies and the popular imagination (a raving psychopath) is garbage. The people who actually knew him said otherwise. Read David Irving's Hitler's War, written almost entirely using primary sources (actual witnesses, not professors' drivel)

They have made movies about Hitler in the 1930s during his great rise. "Hitler: the rise of evil" the English film. "Max", the movie with John Cussack as a young Jewish art dealer after WW1 meeting the young artist named Hitler. RWT Watch more movies and less Youtube. Also pick up a book from time to time.

"no historical support", oh really? Speer wrote about this meeting following he disobeyed the Nero order and said that he thought the war was lost in his memoirs and so did Traudl Junge. So obviously there are historical support for it. Propaganda? In what way. You should be careful with commenting things like this and not backing it up since some people actually know history, which you apparently dont.
