There is even more. Rumba originally comes from Spanish traditional (gypsy) dance. From there the cuban dance got its name even if its not the same. And then the ballroom dances incoporated a latin dance called rumba that is supposed to come from Cuba. But the ballroom version seems more like Cuban Son/Bolero so it makes me think they just have their names wrong.

this was very cool - why's everybody all pissed & trying to compare Cuban Rumba to Ballroom Rumba? for that matter, has anyone even considered Gypsy Rumba as well? Whatev, Janet's adorable and I love how she says 'two' when she's counting it out... lol

Read the video description. They're teaching Rumba movement to be used in salsa dancing. Hence, they demonstrated it to salsa music.

The music is NOT guaguanco! The percusion is playing tumbao, bass tumbao, piano montuneando, clave is playing clave de son. In Puerto Rico and New York this would be salsa.
