There's no justice in remaking originals. Stefani does a good job but all credit goes to the mind who created this song! The problem today is that everyone's become too lazy to create "their own" music.

I never needed a literal interpretation of this song. It's my life being extended to the beautiful creatures was a really unique and timeless idea and the lines squiggling about such as they are represent the division of cells. TRIBAL? ESSENTIAL. Add such a lovely synth line and beat from the bassline that quietly kicks through and you have one meaning of the 1980s. One classic time for new ideas you can dance to.
