READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING!Note 1: The GTX 260 and HD4870 are heavy competitors. New drivers have made the GTX 260 produce a higher frame rate though.Note 2: Yes, the HD4870X2 is the fastest card, but it did not exist back in July, when I made this video.Note 3: I am no fanboy of either brand. I have been working with ATI, nVidia, Matrox and Intel graphics processors. Additionally, I have experience with Catalyst Control Center, GeForce drivers, ATi Tray Tools, RivaTuner, Matrox DualHead and other tweaking applications, in order to remove any of my own bias about drivers issues.Note 4: Somebody mentioned that a 7600GT can run Crysis on medium settings. This is partially true. I'm guessing that card will run the game with about 15 to 40 FPS, but that isn't enough to be able to play the game decently. You will encounter frame drops, certainly at a high resolution, and any gamer will tell you how much he hates those. It's just as annoying as lag (which is something different than frame drops). A game is merely playable with average framerates above 30, without framedrops. I like playing games with at least 50 FPS, so I do not encounter frame drops below 25.Note 5: No, I will not add subtitles to this video. It would require to much time and work, and I am focussing on new videos right now.NVIDIA VS ATINVIDIA or ATIATI VS NVIDIAATI or NVIDIA

Yeah, and for ATI it has always been GT, GTO/XL, Pro, XT, XTX, but now it's just numbers: HDxx30, HDxx50, HDxx70.

I've always been wondering the same thing. I have no damn idea what XT, Pro, GT, GTX and all those things mean.

Can someone please tell me why they end their cards with gt,gs, or gtx and what this means? I'm a noob at this stuff and I'm shopping for a new card thanks.
