the first "yoomans" made their debut......around 10:30 p.m. on Dec. 31st.......ah yes, the cosmic calender, definatley one of my favorite episodes. Sagan was brilliant at presenting his ideas in a simple and clear way, so anyone could just kick back, relax, smoke a huge joint....and soak it all in. Great stuff.

OK, I stop commenting on comments, most of the time they end up as an entry by themselves. Surreal.

Even using a stone tablet involves a certain level of thinking, a crude form of science. Without the principles of science, we'd still be swinging the trees (which might not have been such a bad idea).

Watching it makes me high.

... not to mention that "damwmnm" is obviously being sarcastic. The forced mix of internet speak and words that are clearly intentionally misspelled is a dead give away.

I really think that if Sagan were still alive today, the religious right's stranglehold over the minds of many Americans would be less. He was a candle in the darkness and no one has filled the void of his loss.

i listen to the words of carl sagan in this clip, 15 billion years of human kind and yet i still read such vitriolic comments from people, its taken 15 billion years to evolve into what we are today, and yet we dont seem to have evolved at all, its a free world, let them comment how they see, dont attack them because you dont like their comments, its just one miniscule point of view in a cosmic ocean, out of the billions that live on this planet, we cant all like the same things, peace
