These "carved images" are not being worshiped my freind. They are a reminder and a window into the life of christ and the Saints. When we show respect for these icons we pass it on to those being presented. Please do not judge. I only ask you talk to an Orthodox priest about any questions you have about our faith.

Awful quick.....what with the Ark of the Covenant and all....do the images not count if they are carved from gold?

Weird how we forget that Jesus was Human too-an image of the living God. And besides these are painted icons- a visual scripture if you will.

Someone should have reminded God of that before He became Human. Berfore he bacame an Image of God in human form on the earth of whom we Christians worship.

i wonder what Moses would say if he saw all these carved images, did he not warn in Deut 4 never to do that?weird how people forget Law of Most high so quick.
