One more thing Sapna...when you listen to popular songs of today, in probably 4 or 5 years you forget about them...THANK GOD YOU DO!! :) : But, But when you hear songs like from "Guide"....which is 43 years old, like this beautiful song here....it's still just as popular today, as it was back then...it has passion...it has singers who could sing and leave a beautiful and everlasting impression in your heart....and that is because of Kishore and Lata...THE BEST OF ALL TIME!! :)

I agree with you completely Sapna....we should really be thankful to have seen true greatness which we call Hindi cinema back in its best times. Please do not get me wrong as I am not bashing hindi movies...hindi movies I love with all my heart, and there is only one actor today that I admire and respect and that is Mr. Aamir Khan...However, today's films I guess have lost the art of making what a film should be about...it's not about dancing on a city street in London with 40 people...bye! :)

Yes Sanjeev you are so right. I have had the occasion to watch actors at close quarters. my dad was a film producer. These chaps had class, acting was their passion and that was the case with the story tellers, lyricists, musicic directors, editor you name it. We have simply lost the art of story telling completely. If I remember, the only Hindi movie in the Times All great 100 movies is Pyaasa by Guru Dutt made fifty years ago.

I agree with you. We held a candlelight protest this in Trinidad and Tobago West Indies. I was refering to China's occupation of Tibet.

Truly a classic! This is what you call a song, not the rubbish bollywood is making now. One of the greatest movies of the 20th century. Old is indeed gold. Kishoreji and Lataji rock this number. Beautiful song with a very deep meaning. |
