poor car ;( WHY???
sixt4conti (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
any engine can require external cooling. i dont know of any factory turbocharged vtec. you start running alot of fuel and your egts skyrocket so you need to shoot n. plus or for a street car water injection to keep those temps down.

Youre the idiot.. cant you see the engine is jutting upwards.. a vtec engine does not require external cooling besides the radiator btw..

Great engineering, well done. Why did he do it? Because he can. I don't think there is anything the Japanese can't do better than the rest of the world in regards to engineering.

Man, that's a Honda S2000 engine in a BMW. I wonder why he did that swap. 240 hp and 161 torque with a 9000 rpm redline.

WHY??????
icykon (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Man, if you read some of the previous comments, its not "oh cool, but i personally would have gotten a new m3 engine, it would fit easier"...the douches were claiming that this was a travesty to BMW and that a F20 is a ricer engine?I would hope ppl who buy performance cars would appreciate when something legitimate was created, but i guess not.

No one's bitching and it's not a bad swap. It's probably better than what was previously in it, but it's more work and you get about the same performance as a 3.2L swap from the M3. And if you ask BMW owners 90% of them would prefer a 6 cylinder instead of a 4 cyl. |
