Some people in Iraq do yeah, its just the small amount that are troubled by war. People die all the time, in every country, but more people in the troubled countries find time to enjoy life. I just find it so frustrating that people in Britain whine all the time about the way their life is and their country, yet in countries like Somalia, Rwanda, etc, a lot worse off countries, people smile all the time and are happy. And I know because I've been there.

You're evil and insane too.

Insensitive equates to dumb. Sensitive people are rarely dumb.

A few comments ago, you described Nietzsche as "evil & insane"....suddenly, he's your new best friend. Make your mind up.

enjoying watching your girlfriend smile, a nice cup of tea & your nice warm bed. all very nice, but those "simple pleasures" are denied the hundreds of thousands dead in Iraq, so maybe ppl have a point to argue over politics, especially considering that the title of the stand up that the video comes from is called "Politics"....rather than "Cosy Wosy things that I like doing", maybe a political discussion is more apt in the circumstances.

If Gervais really wanted to offend, he'd make jokes about gas, not the influence of Nietzsche's ideas on Hitler. Let's have a few Zyklon B gags Ricky! That would be "a gas"! LOL!Here's a good one I just thought of...This jew goes into the Auschwitz McDonald's & asked for eine Gros Mac & the spotty Nazi serving him asks "Do you want arbeit macht freis with that?"

I used to think like that. Years ago I worked in an orphanage & homeless shelters. I soon discovered that, far from finding unity & community, you'll see that ppl are essentially out for themselves & any kindness you show will be used against you. Ppl exploit one another. I know from bitter experience that the majority of ppl have no compassion, understanding or insight. The best revolution the world could have would be armageddon...good riddance to bad rubbish.

there's no such thing as revolution, only revolt, and if you revolt you get beaten down. unity has never existed & it never will. humans are aggressive, vindictive, vain, proud, envious, greedy & shortsighted. there has never been a period of peace in mankind's history & there never will be. for every responsible, intelligent, free thinking, compassionate individual, there are a thousand idiots. good ppl are outnumbered & they always have been. that's not cynicism, it's reality & we must face it
