Simi Valley is looked for by Ventura County FD and so is moorpark.Chatsworth has both LA City (station 96 which is right by my house) and LA County (lake manor - station 75) looking after it.

ya SVFD simi valley fire dept they do have an fd right or is it only ventura county fire come to think about does chatsworth or moorpark have an fd?

i work with fire dept. i m guessing they have to respond to other calls that coming in or trying to find other way to get to the fire in the moutain. or they may be returning to station to stand by for other calls.
