They too have damned the US and have worried if their roles in the US government were inaccordance with what God wanted at the time. So to criticize a minister for his beliefs and call him un-american while you support Hannity's right to speak and call people names is in effect Anti-American. The right to dessent is priciple in both philosophy and in legislatural practice here in the US, although it has never been extended to black people.

1mommas: I find your comments about what is and isn't American to be stupid ignorant and about all inaccurate. The founding fathers including John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both questioned their roles and the soon to be US ethics. They would be saddened and apalled at the current Republican Party. They would also be outraged by the corporate whoring that goes on today.

Her power to fire him is not in dispute, but Monegan alleged that his dismissal may have been an abuse of power tied to his reluctance to fire Palin's former brother-in-law, Alaska State Trooper Mike Wooten, who had been involved in a divorce and child custody battle with Palin's sister, Molly McCann. Palin is currently being investigated by an independent investigator hired by the Alaska Legislature to determine whether she abused her power when she fired Monegan.

On July 11, 2008, Palin dismissed Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan for not adequately filling state trooper vacancies, and because he "did not turn out to be a team player on budgeting issues." She instead offered him a position as executive director of the state Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, which he turned down.

However, what you seem to forget is the following hurricanes that hit Washington, DC and Texas. DC itself somehow suffered almost no damage. Probably because GW wasn't there and Texas was hit pretty hard too. Then again maybe God is testing us to really see if we have learned anything from the past. I hear people talking all the time saying we aren't like our ancestors don't judge us by people long dead. However, when the hurricane came what happened?

I want answer this. It's a little miopic of you to try to say what God will and won't do as a punishment for the evils we do on this earth. However, let's say your premise is correct and the hurricanes were a punishment from God. Then you would have to acknowledge that the hurricane hit 3 states simultaneously which hurt not only black people in lives but the American economy in general. continued
