Symphonie Diagonale/Repetition repeats All Other Repetitions
Viking Eggeling(1880-1925) was an artist and film maker from Lund, Sweden. In Paris in the early 20's, he and Hans Richter started experimenting with the film medium which eventually led to Eggeling completing the "Symphonie Diagonale" in 1924, just before he died in May 1925 at the age of 45. Here's a version that combines a piece for 10-string guitar and electronics by Swedish composer Henrik Frisk with this experimental film classic. Thanks. Yes, it is a true classic, and of course in Swedish film history quite unique! Always hard to know which playback speed is correct with these old films but personally I like this version. Some think it should be slower./Stefan
